Originally Developed for my local canals ie. Kilworth to Foxton on the Leicester arm of the Grand Union. Actually way before my first brochure of 1993 (sometime in the late 80's) and just 2 sizes I used which were 4x10 and a 4x12 and with catching lots of small fish this became a very popular pattern very quick with the bigger sizes added by request back in the day. made today the same as 93' turned, drilled, profiled and finished by hand. With the cane tips turned down to 1mm ish and then rolled over a stone to give the taper. As stated earlier an excellent Whip pattern for catching small fish that has stood the test of time as an updated Fibre tip version is available under the Whip category of canal specials.
